Chris Watson -Chair of Governors

I am a Production Manager at LuK (UK) Ltd where we make car and tractor clutches.  I have overall responsibility for the Tractor Production Segment, including; staffing, investment and improvement.

I am a keen cricketer and I am captain of the Sunday side at my club.  I am also a keen golfer although I don't play as often as I would like.

I became a governor to use some of the skills I have learnt at work to help the school to move forwards.

I have lived and worked in Rotherham for the majority of my life. For the last 18 years I have worked in an educational setting.

I am currently the manager of Rotherham’s two City Learning Centres. I work with schools to help develop a creative technology curriculum that engages children and end enhances teaching and learning across all key stages. I have a love of all things creative and have a real passion for music. I sing in a choir and a band too.

My life experience and career in the education services has given me a solid foundation to support the children and teachers of the school. I hope to bring a love of learning and a creative influence that will inspire our children.

Andrew Gillott - Co-opted Governor
As a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (FIRP) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (Assoc. CIPD), I am a professional HR qualified recruiter with over 19 years industry experience, predominantly at management level.

With 2 children both currently studying at university, I fully understand and appreciate how important it is for children to enjoy a good education so they are able to take advantage of any opportunities they encounter in later years.

I hope I can provide a valuable contribution to the governing body and encourage the children to feel proud of their school and their own personal educational development.
Jan Whitehouse - Co-opted Governor

Hello, I am a member of the teaching staff at this school and have been since 2008. Currently I am a Year 5 teacher, the Inclusion Manager for the school and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. I am looking forward to leading a new initiative to the school which is called Thrive. This is a specific way of working with all children that helps to develop their social and emotional well-being, enabling them to engage with life and learning. This initiative supports them in becoming more self-assured, capable and adaptable. It can also address any troubled, or troubling, behaviours providing a firm foundation for academic attainment.

During my spare time you will either find me in my garden or running for Kimberworth Striders.
